Re-discovering the "Shuswap Lifestyle!"
To this day, Jay remembers the special moment when he left the Lower Mainland behind and ventured out on his family's .png)
summer vacation. He had been born and raised in the Salmon Arm area but shortly after graduating from college had migrated to the Fraser Valley to start a career and a family. Jay was simply planning on just spending the next two weeks relaxing and boating on the lake.
But a funny thing happened once Jay arrived. He had always admired the scenic beauty and active outdoor pursuits of the Shuswap, but this time he finally realized that he really didn't have any desire to return back to the crowded and hectic atmosphere of the Lower Mainland. He had re-discovered the Shuswap lifestyle, and it was clear that the quaint community of Salmon Arm with it's casual and down-to-earth feeling was the ideal place to live and raise a family.
Jay's genuine passion for Salmon Arm and the Shuswap area is just as strong today as when he was a boy growing up. That's because he learned very early on to truly appreciate what this wonderful region has to offer it's local residents!
Life Is What You Make Of It!
Whether it's spending time with his wife Angeline, his four daughters, his new twin grandkids or working in his career as a premier Salmon Arm real estate agent, Jay never loses sight of the fact that life was meant for living. "When the hourglass runs out of sand you can't flip it over and start again", Jay says. "I feel that the most important lesson of all is that life is really what you make of it and I want to make it as great as possible for my family, myself and my clients as well".

As an active member of the Salmon Arm Daybreak Rotary Club Jay is a great believer in giving back to the community that has been so good to him. Jay is also a Vice-Chair of the Executive for the Shuswap Division of the Okanagan Real Estate Board, a member and a Board Director of the
Salmon Arm Chamber of Commerce plus sits in on the local Business Excellence Award Selection Committee. It's clear that Jay truly loves doing his part to ensure the area continues to thrive and attract new residents.
Jay and his family have always enjoyed fishing, atving, camping, skiing and snowboarding together, but now the kids are older Jay is able to spend a little more time exploring of the many 4x4 backroads and fishing holes in the Shuswap area.
Jay is an avid outdoor enthusiast and has a real passion for fly fishing small backcountry lakes and rivers. When not busy assisting clients buy & sell Shuswap real estate, he's known to be casting a flyline or enjoying the odd short getaway to the simpler things in life. His family has a log cabin on a remote lake near the headwater's of the Adams River. Jay is also a big Toyota Landcruiser fanatic and is currently restoring a 1975 FJ40.
