Jay & his wife (Angeline) have watched their four kids grow up happy in a small town & now have grandkids who also live nearby. The family members are all outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy camping, mountain biking, hiking, atving, skiing & snowboarding. Jay is particularily keen on fly fishing & fly tying. When time allows he's known to be casting a line from a float tube on a nearby small stillwater lake or trolling with his 4 legged sidekick "Bear" in a tin boat for big rainbows on the Shuswap. There's also a few much anticipated weekend getaways to the family's remote log cabin located up in the headwaters region of the Adam's River.
Jay enjoys creating things out of repurposed materials and always has some "art" project or home improvement on the go. He's renovated many homes, knows his way around tools, and has a critical eye for detail. He's also owns several vintage vehicles, during the summer months you may spot him driving a restored forest green 1975 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40. He's also making progress finishing another classic vehicle project that being his wife's toy, a 1970 VW Beetle convertible.
Jay (& Angeline) have both volunteered their time & resources to many local causes & business organizations. They enjoy doing their part to ensure the Shuswap area continues to thrive & attract new residents. Jays' been involved in the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Improvement Association, Okanagan Real Estate Board & various other advisory committees & charities.
